Zeeco has completed the acquisition of Applicot Corporation, strengthening its footprint in Japan and expanding localized support for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction customers across the region.
The deal, finalized on January 13, 2026, brings Applicot fully into Zeeco’s operations after more than 35 years as an official licensee. The acquisition combines Applicot’s established presence in Japan with Zeeco’s global manufacturing infrastructure, advanced combustion technologies, and environmental solutions portfolio.
Applicot has historically focused on flare systems, supplying combustion equipment for capital projects in Japan and internationally. Under Zeeco’s ownership, the company’s capabilities will broaden to include a full range of combustion and environmental solutions, allowing customers to access expanded technical expertise and product offerings.
Zeeco said Applicot will continue to operate as a trusted brand in Japan as a wholly owned subsidiary, maintaining its local identity while leveraging the parent company’s global resources.
Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Zeeco is a privately held company with more than 3,000 employees and over 30 global locations. The company designs and manufactures advanced combustion and environmental systems, serving industries including refining, petrochemical, LNG, power, pharmaceutical, and biogas. Its portfolio includes ultra-low-NOx burners, flare systems, thermal oxidizers, vapor control solutions, process heaters, combustion electronics, and aftermarket services.
Applicot, established in 1986 and based in Yokohama, has maintained a long-standing relationship with Zeeco and has supplied combustion equipment for projects throughout Japan and beyond. As part of Zeeco, it will continue to support domestic and international customers with localized expertise backed by global capabilities.
