Zenzap Emerges From Stealth With $44 Million In Funding Led By Bessemer And Lightspeed

Zenzap has emerged from stealth with $44 million in total funding to expand its AI-powered collaborative workplace platform, which is designed to let employees and AI agents work together inside shared team conversations. The funding was jointly led by Bessemer Venture Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners, with additional investment from The Garage. Zenzap plans to use the capital to expand its product development and sales teams, enhance platform capabilities, and accelerate its international expansion.

Founded in 2022 by CEO Guy Weiss, CTO Jonatan Bien, and COO Noam Neumann, Zenzap describes its approach as “Multiplayer AI.” Rather than positioning AI primarily as an individual assistant operating in private conversations, the company brings specialized agents directly into shared workplace chats where employees and agents can assign tasks, exchange context and documents, monitor work, and make decisions together.

The company has 45 employees across Tel Aviv, the U.S., and Europe and already serves thousands of organizations, ranging from smaller teams to businesses with thousands of employees. Zenzap said its customers have created more than 40,000 automated workflows using its platform.

Zenzap provides a managed team-chat interface across mobile and desktop that connects AI agents with existing business applications. Employees can interact with agents through text or voice without technical training, while prebuilt agents, automations, and thousands of connectors enable workflows across CRM systems, finance applications, email, marketing tools, and operational software. Zenzap said a team can set up an agent in less than 90 seconds.

Use cases include qualifying incoming sales leads and updating CRM systems, reconciling financial transactions, recording receipts and expenses, creating employee shift schedules, tracking operational tasks, and drafting responses in a company’s established writing style. The shared environment is also designed to preserve organizational context rather than leaving business information fragmented across private messages.

The company is targeting organizations that want to deploy AI agents while maintaining centralized governance and security. Zenzap provides CISO oversight capabilities, malware protections, data-leak prevention, and compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and GDPR requirements. Customers already include small and medium-sized businesses, financial institutions, hospitals, and multinational corporations.

Zenzap sees the next stage of enterprise AI adoption moving from isolated personal assistants toward groups of specialized agents working alongside teams. The company believes embedding those agents directly into existing collaborative workflows can make AI accessible to non-technical employees while allowing organizations to maintain security, permissions, and oversight.

KEY QUOTES:

“Until now, artificial intelligence has been a personal experience: one person, one chatbot, one private conversation. The strength of companies lies in teamwork, collective thinking, and collaboration toward business goals. And Zenzap was designed and built from the ground up as a secure platform so that agents and humans can work together, share the same context, and enable AI to become a force multiplier for employees and the business as a whole.”

Guy Weiss, Founder And CEO Of Zenzap

“In every organization, each role is held by someone with focus and expertise, who can influence others and reach the best decision. Agents should work the same way: not one super-agent acting as an alter ego, but a team of specialized agents with supervision, oversight, and control that use business tools like an employee would and collaborate naturally with you and your colleagues.”

Adam Fisher, Partner At Bessemer Venture Partners

“Personal AI assistants have entered our private lives. Zenzap brings that same opportunity to companies and teams of every size and industry. The vast majority of humanity is still not truly benefiting from AI. There is a significant gap between technological capabilities and the pace of their adoption. Organizations have avoided collaborating with agents because they lacked the right platform.”
