By Amit Chowdhry ● Apr 19, 2026

ZERO Prostate Cancer announced it has awarded $250,000 in Community Innovation Grants to five nonprofit organizations across the United States, supporting efforts to improve early detection, expand access to care, and address disparities in prostate cancer outcomes.

The grants, sponsored by Bayer, will fund community-based initiatives focused on screenings, education, patient navigation, and support services, particularly for underserved populations.

The Community Innovation Grant Program is designed to strengthen prostate cancer care at both national and local levels by supporting organizations with direct ties to the communities they serve. Funded programs include free prostate cancer screenings, culturally competent awareness campaigns, and initiatives aimed at improving care coordination and outcomes.

The 2026 grant recipients include:

  1. The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
  2. UNC Health Foundation in Chapel Hill, North Carolina
  3. Michigan Men’s Health Foundation in Rochester, Michigan
  4. Center for Change, Inc. in Orlando, Florida
  5. Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered in Tampa, Florida

These organizations will implement localized programs tailored to community needs, informed by research, data, and on-the-ground experience.

The initiative is part of ZERO’s broader strategy to improve prostate cancer outcomes by investing in community-led solutions that can reach high-risk populations and reduce barriers to care.

ZERO Prostate Cancer, founded in 1996, focuses on advocacy, education, and support for individuals and families affected by prostate cancer, working toward earlier detection and more equitable access to treatment.
