Ziff Davis announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to sell its Connectivity division to Accenture for $1.2 billion in cash. The transaction is expected to unlock shareholder value while positioning the Connectivity business under a global services company with significant scale and enterprise reach.
The Connectivity division includes several well-known brands focused on network intelligence, analytics, and testing solutions. These brands include Ookla, Speedtest, Ekahau, Downdetector, and RootMetrics. Together, they provide tools and insights used by service providers, enterprises, and regulators to design, monitor, and optimize fixed broadband, mobile, and Wi-Fi networks.
The division generated $231 million in revenue in 2025, representing approximately 16% of Ziff Davis’ total revenue. The company said the financial results of the Connectivity unit will be reported as discontinued operations in its consolidated financial statements beginning with the first quarter of fiscal year 2026.
Ziff Davis said the transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals, and it expects the deal to close in the coming months. Until the transaction is finalized, the company will continue to operate the Connectivity division.
Proceeds from the sale will be used for general corporate purposes and to support the company’s capital allocation strategy, including activities related to its outstanding debt securities.
Ziff Davis is a vertically focused digital media and internet company with brands spanning technology, gaming and entertainment, health and wellness, cybersecurity, connectivity, and digital marketing.
Support: Evercore and Citi served as financial advisors to Ziff Davis on the transaction, while Kirkland & Ellis acted as legal counsel.
