Zippy has raised $20 million in Series C funding from Saluda Grade to expand its technology-enabled manufactured housing finance platform and accelerate its nationwide growth. Saluda Grade, an alternative investment firm specializing in asset-backed credit, was the sole investor in the round through its growth equity strategy. Beyond the equity investment, Saluda Grade will work with Zippy across credit, capital markets, balance sheet management, and product development.
Zippy plans to use the new capital and strategic partnership to expand beyond the 27 states it currently serves, introduce additional loan products, and broaden distribution across manufactured housing communities, dealers, retailers, and wholesale channels. The company also plans to continue investing in its technology platform and increase its balance sheet capacity.
The Series C follows more than $600 million in capital commitments secured by Zippy during 2026. The company said the additional financing represents another step in its development into a nationwide, full-service manufactured housing lending platform.
Founded in 2021, Zippy operates as an originator and servicer focused exclusively on manufactured housing finance. The company has developed infrastructure spanning regulatory compliance, legal operations, risk management, servicing, and loan origination.
Its proprietary loan origination platform supports digital applications, partner-facing tools, underwriting and decisioning, standardized loan documentation, and data infrastructure. Zippy’s model is designed to provide financing through multiple channels while creating a more streamlined process for manufactured home buyers, communities, and sellers.
The company sees an opportunity to modernize a segment of the housing finance market that it believes has historically lacked the infrastructure available within traditional mortgage lending. According to figures cited by Zippy from the Manufactured Housing Institute, manufactured housing represented approximately 5% of U.S. households in 2024 and 9% of single-family home starts in 2025.
Saluda Grade’s investment also expands its exposure to themes involving housing affordability and housing supply. The firm has invested in asset originators, financial technology companies, and businesses operating across residential finance and asset-based credit.
Founded in 2019 by Ryan Craft, Saluda Grade had $4.1 billion in assets under management as of July 1, 2026. Its activities span asset management, growth equity, origination, and servicing technology across residential and commercial real estate credit.
The companies plan to combine Zippy’s manufactured housing lending infrastructure with Saluda Grade’s credit and capital markets capabilities as Zippy enters additional markets and develops new financing products.
KEY QUOTES:
“Manufactured housing is already one of the most compelling affordable homeownership solutions in America, but it needs a financing system that is just as modern and efficient as the homes themselves. We experienced these challenges firsthand as community owners, and everything we’ve built since has been focused on making financing simpler for homeowners and home sellers, while creating the infrastructure this industry needs to grow. With Saluda Grade as our strategic partner, we believe we can continue serving the existing market exceptionally well, while creating additional access points to help more families across the country achieve homeownership.”
Ben Halliday, Co-Founder And CEO Of Zippy
“Zippy has built an impressive platform in one of the most overlooked sectors of housing finance. We’ve been fortunate to have a longstanding relationship with their leadership team, and it’s clear Zippy has combined deep industry expertise, proprietary technology, and a disciplined approach to lending to create a differentiated foundation for long-term growth. We believe manufactured housing finance presents a compelling opportunity, and we’re excited to partner with Zippy as the company expands its platform, enters new markets, and continues building critical financial infrastructure for the industry.”
