Mumbai-based corporate travel and expense management platform Ziptrrip has acquired online travel marketplace HelloTravel in a move designed to expand its footprint across MICE, business leisure, and experiential travel segments. The acquisition marks the company’s first takeover since launch and reflects its broader ambition to build an integrated travel operating system for enterprises and travelers.
According to the announcement shared by Ziptrrip co-founder Rishabh Agarwal, the acquisition combines HelloTravel’s extensive partner and destination ecosystem with Ziptrrip’s AI-led travel infrastructure. The company said the integration will strengthen capabilities across travel bookings, expense management, corporate events, and customized travel experiences.
HelloTravel brings nearly two decades of marketplace experience and a large network of travel agents, destination management companies, and travel partners. Industry reports noted that the platform has served over 1 crore travelers during its operations. Ziptrrip, meanwhile, has focused on corporate travel automation and expense management, reportedly handling more than 2 lakh corporate trips while achieving profitability in FY25.
The acquisition is also expected to deepen Ziptrrip’s presence in the rapidly growing MICE sector, which includes meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions. Several industry observers described the transaction as part of a broader trend in which corporate travel startups are expanding beyond traditional business bookings into leisure, experiential, and blended travel offerings.
In his LinkedIn announcement, Agarwal said the acquisition represents “an important step” in building an end-to-end corporate travel operating system spanning business travel, expense management, events, and leisure experiences. He also noted that the company plans to work closely with travel industry veterans Pankaj Agarwal and Mohit Srivastava as part of the next phase of ecosystem development.
The acquisition will reportedly make HelloTravel a wholly owned subsidiary of Wayfarers Technologies Private Limited, Ziptrrip’s parent company.
