Zoom Communications has appointed Jeff Epstein to its Board of Directors, effective immediately, adding a veteran technology finance executive with experience across enterprise software, artificial intelligence and public-company governance.

Epstein previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Oracle and is currently an Operating Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners.

His appointment adds an executive with extensive experience across B2B software, finance, vertical AI and technology investing as Zoom continues expanding beyond video meetings into a broader enterprise communications and AI platform.

Zoom also announced that Jonathan Chadwick will retire from the company’s board effective November 19, 2026, following nearly 10 years of service.

Chadwick has served on the board through several major stages of Zoom’s development, including the company’s rapid expansion, public-market growth and evolution into a broader communications and workplace software provider.

Epstein brings extensive board experience in addition to his operating and financial background.

He currently serves on the boards of Autodesk, AvePoint and Twilio.

His previous board positions include Okta, Couchbase, Poshmark and Shutterstock.

That experience gives Epstein exposure to a wide range of technology businesses spanning software-as-a-service, cybersecurity, communications, cloud software and digital commerce.

At Bessemer Venture Partners, Epstein works with technology companies and management teams across the venture and growth ecosystem.

His background could be particularly relevant as Zoom increases its focus on AI-powered workplace applications and enterprise software.

Zoom has been expanding beyond its original video communications platform into a broader portfolio spanning meetings, phone, contact center and other workplace products, while incorporating AI more deeply across its services.

The company is increasingly positioning Zoom AI as a layer that can help users move beyond communication and collaboration toward completing more work within the platform.

Epstein’s experience in B2B software and vertical AI could therefore support Zoom’s board as the company evaluates product investments, capital allocation and longer-term growth opportunities.

His financial background may also provide additional perspective as Zoom balances continued investment in innovation with profitability and shareholder returns.

Before joining Bessemer Venture Partners, Epstein served as Executive Vice President and CFO of Oracle, one of the world’s largest enterprise software companies.

He holds an MBA from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BA from Yale University.

The board transition comes as Zoom continues reshaping its strategy around AI-enabled modern work.

While the company remains closely associated with video meetings, its platform has expanded substantially into communications, collaboration and customer experience software.

Adding Epstein gives Zoom another director with deep experience overseeing technology companies operating in large enterprise markets.

At the same time, Chadwick’s retirement concludes nearly a decade of board service during which Zoom experienced dramatic changes in scale, product scope and public-market visibility.

The transition therefore brings both continuity and new expertise to the board as Zoom enters its next phase of growth.
