ZTO Express reported approximately $465 million of adjusted net income in Q2 2026, an increase of 50.3% year over year, while parcel volume reached 10.5 billion shipments and the company’s market share expanded to 19.9%.
The combination of parcel scale and profit growth is particularly notable because ZTO is now handling approximately one-fifth of the parcel market represented in its operating disclosure. The 19.9% share indicates that the company has continued gaining volume at a very large absolute scale rather than simply maintaining its existing position.
The 10.5 billion quarterly parcels equate to roughly 115 million parcels per day across the 91-day second quarter. That derived figure illustrates the scale of the sorting, line-haul and last-mile network required to support ZTO’s operating footprint.
Adjusted net income of approximately $465 million divided by the 10.5 billion parcels handled during the quarter implies approximately $0.04 to $0.05 of adjusted net income per parcel. This is a derived figure rather than a metric ZTO reports directly, but it provides a useful view of the earnings generated across the company’s enormous parcel base.
The 50.3% increase in adjusted net income substantially outpaced the already large parcel count, indicating that ZTO’s Q2 performance involved more than simply processing additional packages. The result points to stronger earnings generation across a network that is simultaneously expanding market share.
ZTO’s financial disclosure separates major operating-cost categories including line-haul transportation, sorting-hub operations, accessories and other costs, reflecting the logistics infrastructure required to process its parcel volume.
The company also reports income from operations, adjusted EBITDA, net cash provided by operating activities and other profitability measures alongside adjusted net income, providing multiple measures for assessing whether the higher parcel volumes are translating into operating leverage and cash generation.
At 10.5 billion parcels in a single quarter and a 19.9% market share, even small improvements in economics per shipment can significantly affect aggregate earnings. The 50.3% increase in adjusted net income shows the financial impact of applying incremental efficiency across ZTO’s enormous network.
