Social news aggregation website Digg.com had to go on lock down today. Digg did not allow manual story submissions throughout the day for some reason. Many people are speculating that the lock down is due to what is believed to be a user revolt. The reason why many users are revolting is because they are not satisfied with the new design of the Digg website, also known as “Digg Version 4.”

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has created a Bing for Mobile Android Application for Verizon customers. The free Bing mobile application can be downloaded from the Verizon Wireless Android Marketplace. The Bing Android application has the Bing image of the day with clickable hotspots. Verizon Wireless will soon be getting a tablet according to an inventory software screenshot sent over to BoyGeniusReport. The Samsung Galaxy Tab will be a tablet being sold through Verizon. Rumor has it that it will be running on Google Android 3.0 and the screen size is 10″. [BGR]

Etsy is an e-commerce service that has grown at a rapid pace. Etsy is especially popular with people who make crafts and sell them online. Recently Etsy raised $20 million in Series E with Index Ventures being the lead investor in this round. Danny Rimer of Index will be taking a position on Etsy’s board of directors as well.
