When Apple releases the Apple Watch Series 6 and watchOS 7 later this year, it will have a blood oxygen saturation detection feature, according to 9to5Mac. This is a vital that maintains heart and brain health.

And based on leaked iOS 14 code reviewed by 9to5Mac, it watchOS 7 is also expected to include new watch faces and parental control features. Plus the watchOS 7 will have new sleep tracking features.

Watch Faces

watchOS 7 is expected to have the ability to share your watch face with other users through the share sheet menu, as a file through the Files app, and AirDrop.

Create Watch Faces From Shared Photos

The Apple Watch already allows users to create watch faces with images from individual photos or groups of photos from albums in the Photos app. And it is rumored that Apple will be adding the ability to create photo watch faces from shared albums.

Infograph Pro:

When Apple released watchOS 6, it included a feature called Infograph. Infograph included support for 8 complications on the face of the Apple Watch. And watchOS 7 is expected to have a new version of Infograph called Infograph Pro.

The main new feature in the Infograph is a tachymeter. A tachymeter is an analog watch scale placed on the dial for measuring speed and distance based on the travel time.

One iPhone To Pair With Multiple Watches

Apple is reportedly working on the ability to manage Apple Watch devices for kids using a parent’s iPhone. Apple already offers the ability for a single iPhone to activate and pair with multiple Apple Watch devices, but only one watch can be used at a time and each of those watches is tried to the same account as the iPhone. With the new feature, a parent would be able to activate and manage an Apple Watch for a child without needing a second iPhone in order to implement parental controls.

School Time

Using the Apple Watch parental controls, there will be a new feature called Schooltime so parents can manage which apps and complications can be used during different hours such as school hours and bedtime.

Sleep Tracking Feature

Apple watchOS 7 is expected to include a new sleep tracking feature with personalized goals in the Health app of the iPhone. And the Health app will also have recommendations in order to improve sleep quality.
