Digital Experience Optimization Company Optimizely Raises $50 Million

  • Digital experience optimization leader Optimizely has raised $50 million in Series D funding led by Goldman Sachs Private Capital Investing with participation from Accenture Ventures

Optimizely, a leader in digital experience optimization, announced it raised $105 million in funding including $50 million in Series D funding. This round of funding was led by Goldman Sachs Private Capital Investing. Accenture Ventures also joined this round.

Including this round of funding, Optimizely raised $200 million since launching. In conjunction with this funding round, Michael Kondoleon of the Goldman Sachs Special Situations Group is joining the company’s board.

This category has been growing at an exponential rate. And Optimizely customers such as Gap, Visa, StubHub, Metromile, Lending Club, and Sonos have been making experimentation a mainstream business best practice.

Over the past two years, Optimizely’s customers have tripled their investments in digital experience optimization with the company’s scalable infrastructure now handling over 6 billion events a day. As a result, Optimizely has consistently deployed breakthrough products and the company’s machine learning capabilities have been doubling website visitor conversion rates.
