ŌURA Postpones Nasdaq IPO Despite Strong Demand As Membership Reaches 5.7 Million

ŌURA has postponed its previously announced initial public offering on Nasdaq, citing uncertainty in the IPO market despite what the company described as strong investor demand. The health technology company said its business has continued to strengthen since beginning the IPO process and remains profitable.

The decision delays Oura’s planned transition into the public markets but does not indicate that the company has abandoned its IPO plans. Oura said it intends to choose a more favorable time to proceed with the offering while continuing to focus on business growth.

Oura said consumer response to the Oura Ring 5 has been particularly strong, helping increase its paid membership to 5.7 million. The company also expects fiscal 2026 revenue to grow by 90% year-over-year, underscoring the growth it has achieved as it prepares for a potential public listing.

The company had previously filed a Form S-1 registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission related to the proposed IPO. The registration statement has not yet been declared effective, meaning securities associated with the offering cannot yet be sold.

Oura operates a health intelligence platform centered on its smart ring, which continuously tracks more than 50 health metrics. The company’s technology covers areas including sleep, activity, stress, readiness, women’s health, metabolic health, and heart health.

The Oura Ring uses the finger for photoplethysmography measurements, which the company says can produce stronger signals than wrist-based wearable devices. Oura’s technology is used not only by individual consumers but also by research organizations, healthcare providers, sports teams, and other organizations.

Oura said its ecosystem now includes more than 1,200 partners, extending the platform’s reach across healthcare, research, wellness, and other areas.

Founded in Finland in 2013, Oura is headquartered in San Francisco, with its European headquarters located in Oulu, Finland.
