  • VaynerMedia has announced that it has named Rob Lenois as the chief creative officer of the agency

VaynerMedia announced it has named Rob Lenois as the chief creative officer of the agency. At the creative agency, Lenois will be overseeing the company products. And he will be reporting to VaynerMedia CEO and co-founder Gary Vaynerchuk.

Lenois is joining VaynerMedia from Grey New York. He worked at Grey for nine years and was most recently the deputy chief creative officer.

“At VaynerMedia, we have a very different approach to our creative product,” said Vaynerchuk in a statement. “We believe in contextual creative at scale in order to drive business results for our clients. In addition, having creative, media and production all in house allows us to be one of the most integrated agencies in the world. With a required mix of humility, creativity, and leadership, I am confident in Rob’s future impact. We’re thrilled to have him join.”

While working as the deputy chief creative officer of Grey New York, Lenois is going to be responsible for creating campaigns for clients like Volvo, Febreze, and Darden Restaurants. And Lenois is also known for working as an associate creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi New York where he oversaw a campaign for a non-stop flight from NY to Tahiti for Air Tahiti Nui. Plus he also worked at BBDO New York where he worked on a Cingular Wireless campaign.

“My first encounter with VaynerMedia was through Gary’s social content. I connected with his idea of putting people first,” added Lenois. “But once I got to the agency and met with Gary and the team in person, I saw that ‘people-first’ isn’t just some marketing jumbo but is very real in the culture. I was also struck by the energy and the tenacity of the agency. Everywhere I turned, people were making and doing: filming, editing, animating and podcasting. In an industry where some of the best ideas don’t make it past a PDF, I was hooked by the culture of ‘make and share.’ VaynerMedia is changing the game. They won four Cannes Lions this year, which speaks to their creative prowess and their ability to deliver business results for their clients. I look forward to building on that momentum and creating more results-driven work.”

Lenois is going to be starting this role at VaynerMedia on November 4.
