Teledyne MEMS, a founding partner of the MiQro Innovation Collaborative Center (C2MI), is acknowledging a significant new commitment from the Canadian and Quebec governments as part of C2MI’s next-phase expansion, C2MI1.5. Protego Biopharma has closed an oversubscribed $130 million Series B financing round that will accelerate its first-in-class AL amyloidosis therapeutic program into a pivotal clinical study. The round was led by Novartis Venture Fund and Forbion, with additional participation from new investors Omega Funds, Droia Ventures, YK Bioventures, and Digitalis Ventures. Existing backers Vida Ventures, MPM BioImpact, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and Scripps Research also returned to participate in the round.

Morphocell Technologies: $50 Million Series A Raised To Advance Regenerative Medicine

Morphocell Technologies has completed a $50 million Series A financing following a US$10 million extension led by Investissement Québec and CDP Venture Capital. The closing brings the total Series A raise to $50 million after the company secured US$40 million in February 2024 through a round led by Genson Capital. The new funding expands Morphocell’s investor base with two mission-driven institutional backers and extends the company’s operating runway to more than three years.

Sokin: $50 Million Series B Raised To Accelerate Global Payments Expansion

Sokin has raised $50 million in Series B funding to advance its global business payments platform following a year marked by 100% revenue growth and an eightfold increase since 2022. The investment round was led by Prysm Capital, with participation from Watershed Ventures, Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital–managed funds, Aurum Partners, Gary Marino (former Chief Commercial Officer at PayPal), and Mark Britto (former Chief Product Officer at PayPal). The latest financing increases Sokin’s valuation to $300 million.

Black Forest Labs has raised $300 million in a Series B funding round led by AMP and Salesforce Ventures, valuing the company at $3.25 billion post-money. The investment builds on a previously unannounced Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from BroadLight Capital, Creandum, Earlybird VC, General Catalyst, Northzone, and Nvidia. With this new round, the company has now secured more than $450 million in total funding.

Marble Imaging: €5.3 Million Seed Funding Raised To Advance High-Resolution Earth Observation Constellation

Marble Imaging has secured €5.3 million in an oversubscribed seed funding round as it works to become Europe’s primary provider of very high-resolution Earth Observation data and analytics. The round, led by High-Tech Gründerfonds, exceeded initial targets and adds to more than €10 million in previously secured non-dilutive funding. The company also recently signed its first €3 million anchor contract with the European Space Agency under the Copernicus Contributing Missions program.
