FoodLabs said it has closed its third venture fund at more than €105 million, expanding the Berlin-based firm’s push to finance and build startups tackling food-system infrastructure, technology, and research challenges. The firm disclosed the fund close in a LinkedIn post, framing the raise as part of a broader effort to modernize an industry it described as massive, economically significant, and facing “existential challenges.” 

Melt&Marble, a Gothenburg-based biotech company developing designer fats using precision fermentation, has raised €7.3 million (80 MSEK) in a Series A round to scale production and bring its first ingredients to market for personal care and food applications. The financing was led by Swedish deeptech investor Industrifonden and included participation from the European Commission’s European Innovation Council Fund, as well as strategic investments from Beiersdorf and Valio. Chalmers Ventures, Catalyze Capital, and other backers also participated. The company said the EIC Accelerator supported the effort with an additional €2.5 million grant last year, bringing the latest funding total to €10 million over the past year, including €2.76 million in EU grants.

Solve Intelligence has raised $40 million in Series B financing to expand its AI platform for patent work and to support the launch of Charts, a new product aimed at claim charting and large-scale patent analysis. The round was co-led by Visionaries and existing investor 20VC, with Thomson Reuters and Y Combinator increasing their ownership. Operator Collective, led by former Cisco IP executive Mallun Yen, also participated, alongside other backers and a group of angel investors that includes founders of several high-profile technology companies, according to the company and third-party coverage. The angel investors include the founders of Tinder, Canva, Deel, Ironclad, Base44, Cleo, Hugging Face, Pigment, Higgsfield, Trouva, and many others, as well as Kevin Johnson, who founded Quinn Emanuel's IP litigation practice.

Algori, a purchase and behavioural data platform built for the FMCG industry, has raised €3.6 million in additional growth capital to support international expansion and broaden its data capabilities. The round included new investors Red Bull Ventures, Tech Transfer Agrifood (Clave capital), Co-Invest Capital, AttaPoll, and Firstpick, alongside participation from existing backers Shilling, Flashpoint, and Change Ventures. 

KBC Group said it is investing €100 million through Start it @KBC to strengthen Belgium’s startup ecosystem, pairing the accelerator’s equity-free program with a new funding track that includes early-stage checks and the potential for later-stage follow-on financing via KBC Securities. 

Unconventional AI announced it has raised $475 million in seed funding. The round was led by Lightspeed and Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Sequoia, Lux Capital, DCVC, Future Ventures, Jeff Bezos, and many other investing partners. Naveen Rao, cofounder and CEO, will personally be investing $10 million alongside others. 

United Flow Technologies, a technical distributor and solutions provider serving municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment markets, has received a strategic growth investment from Boston-based Berkshire Partners as the company looks to expand its footprint and deepen support for customers and manufacturer partners across the United States.

Cloverleaf Networks said it has raised a strategic venture capital investment from Super K Ventures to accelerate growth and product development across its business connectivity, cybersecurity, and collaboration portfolio.

Latham & Watkins has added energy and infrastructure dealmaker Christopher Heasley as a partner in its Houston office, expanding the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Practice in Texas and reinforcing its push to grow its energy and infrastructure capabilities across upstream, midstream, downstream, and renewables.

DLA Piper has added Adam Vaccaro as a partner in Washington, DC, continuing the firm’s expansion of its National Security and Global Trade practice as cross-border investment reviews and trade-related compliance requirements become increasingly central to dealmaking and corporate strategy.

Kirkland & Ellis has added investment funds partner James “Jamie” Hahn, strengthening the firm’s capabilities in retail-facing private market fund structures as individual investors continue to gain access to strategies historically reserved for institutions.

MAI Capital Management has acquired Lowe Wealth Advisors, a Columbia, Maryland-based registered investment advisor with $527 million in assets under management, expanding MAI’s presence across the Mid-Atlantic and adding a boutique, family-led advisory firm with deep multigenerational relationships. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

TomNext, a London-based company building an intelligence and infrastructure layer for limited partners in private markets, has raised new funding led by Panghea Capital Partners, with participation from Consello, Blizzard, the Avalanche Fund, Altea Partners, and additional strategic backers and angel investors spanning wealth management, fintech, and digital assets.

Mindtrip, an AI-powered travel platform, said it has secured new investments from Capital One Ventures and United Airlines Ventures as it rolls out new product capabilities that broaden its focus from trip planning into local experiences and hospitality workflows.

Procyon, an independent registered investment advisory firm headquartered in Shelton, Connecticut, said it has acquired OLV Investment Group, a wealth management firm with multiple locations in Michigan and Texas. Procyon said the transaction adds approximately $500 million in assets under management, extends the firm’s geographic reach into the Midwest and South, and brings seven financial advisors and 13 additional team members onto Procyon’s platform.

Lin Health, a provider of behavioral care for chronic pain recovery, has raised an oversubscribed $11 million Series A financing round to accelerate growth of its virtual, physician-led chronic pain treatment program and expand partnerships with health systems, clinics, and payers. The round was led by Proofpoint Capital, a venture firm formed by healthcare operators, with participation from new investors Osage Venture Partners and NewHealth Ventures. Existing backers also participated, including aMoon, Mayo Clinic, Saban Ventures, Shoni Health Ventures, and Viola Ventures. As part of the financing, Proofpoint Capital’s Dan Goldsmith is joining Lin Health’s board.

Invictus Growth Partners, a middle-market growth equity firm with more than $1 billion in assets under management, has added former Litmus chief executive Erik Nierenberg as a partner, a move the firm said will strengthen its ability to help portfolio companies accelerate growth and drive long-term value creation across enterprise cloud software, cybersecurity, and financial technology.

AnySignal, a Los Angeles-based company developing a vertically integrated platform for wireless connectivity, sensing, and national security infrastructure, has raised $24 million in Series A funding to scale production of its space communications platform, broaden its national security product line, and build a new Los Angeles area facility that brings the full development lifecycle together from algorithm design through high rate manufacturing.

BON Credit, a San Francisco-based fintech startup focused on credit and debt management for Generation Z consumers, has raised $3.5 million in funding to accelerate development of its AI-driven platform and support the initial rollout of its new app. The company said the round was led by VenturesLab and is intended to help BON Credit expand product capabilities as it targets what it describes as an $18 trillion U.S. consumer credit market.

a2z Radiology AI has raised a $4.5 million seed round, with participation from Khosla Ventures and SeaX Ventures, to accelerate the commercial deployment of its FDA-cleared CT triage product and to continue research and development toward broader imaging interpretation capabilities.

Opine, a Raleigh, North Carolina-based startup building an AI-native workspace for complex B2B technical sales, has raised $5 million in financing, including $3 million in new funding led by S3 Ventures. The company said the round also included participation from Knoll Ventures, Atlanta Seed Company, Gray Ventures, Propel Ventures, Triangle Tweener Fund, and Feross Aboukhadijeh, the CEO of Socket.dev.

Antero Midstream has struck a pair of deals designed to expand its footprint in the core Marcellus Shale while exiting its Ohio Utica position, announcing a definitive agreement to acquire HG II Energy Midstream Holdings for $1.1 billion in cash and a separate agreement to divest its Ohio Utica Shale midstream assets for $400 million.

Auburn University has expanded its advanced manufacturing capabilities with the purchase and installation of a CF3D Enterprise cell from Continuous Composites at the Auburn University Research and Innovation Campus in Huntsville, Alabama, the company said.

Qargo, a cloud-based transport management software provider, has raised $33 million in Series B funding as it scales its AI native platform for carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers across Europe. The company said the round was led by Belgian investment firm Sofina alongside participation from existing investors, bringing Qargo’s total funding to $54 million.

Punto Health has raised $2.7 million in seed funding to expand its technology platform focused on earlier detection and continuous, personalized support for people experiencing cognitive decline. The company, led by co-founder and CEO Anna Muñoz Farré, said the financing will be used to scale the product, hire across London and Barcelona, and extend access to proactive dementia care for more families.

Zentio has closed a €1.4 million pre-seed financing round to accelerate development of its AI-native platform for production planning, the company said in a LinkedIn announcement. The round was led by HTGF | High-Tech Gründerfonds and supported by SIVentures (previously Smart Infrastructure Ventures).

GoDutch has raised a €3.6 million seed round to accelerate the growth of its Amsterdam-based business banking and finance automation platform for small and midsize companies across Europe. Luxembourg Finance House led the funding with participation from Quantum Leap Capital.

Yonda Tax has closed a $15 million funding round to accelerate product development and expand its indirect tax automation platform across additional jurisdictions and industry verticals, the company said on December 11, 2025. The financing marks Yonda’s first significant institutional investment and was led by Kennet Partners, with continued participation from NYO Capital and Portfolio Ventures.

Duco has acquired the brand and intellectual property of AI data firm Nurdle and appointed Nurdle co-founder and CEO Jeremy Micley as Duco’s chief executive officer, as the company moves to broaden its “expert-in-the-loop” approach to AI safety and security for enterprise deployments.

Lido Advisors announced it will partner with Stuart Chaussée & Associates, an independent wealth management firm based in Palos Verdes, California, expanding Lido’s presence in the Los Angeles region and adding capabilities focused on defined-outcome strategies for high-net-worth clients.
